Motorola has been a well known and competent rival for the brands launching mid-range smartphones with astounding and alluring specifications and continuing its legacy Motorola has recently unveiled two new weapons in the war of mid-range and budget segment in India. The new smartphones are namely ‘Moto G8 Play’ and a budget-friendly ‘Moto E6 Play’.
The Moto G8 Play comes sporting these days’ common triple rear camera set and no less than 8 cores at processing chip that accompanying the quality of Motorola with the specifications not matching the rivals and that too at the price of Rs. 19,300/- in India. At the same time, Moto E6 Play enrolling itself in the budget segment comes with a single rear camera and small-sized battery of 3000 mAh for just Rs.8500/- in India. Looks-wise both Moto G8 Play and Moto E6 Play come with a gradient back finish.
Moto G8 Play
The Moto G8 Plat has nothing fascinating at specifications front but more at looks and processing front. The Moto G8 Play flaunts waterdrop notch at the front and a gradient back.
Specifications
The Moto G8 Play packs an octa-core processor on a MediaTek Helio P70 chipset with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 512 GB using a Micro SD card in a dedicated slot, all these doesn’t seem attractive for that price range. The phone has a 6.2-inch HD+ screen and gets its power from a 4000 mAh non-removable battery.
At optics front, the G8 Play brings a trio of 13 MP f/2.0 primary camera sensor, 8 MP f/2.2 of ultrawide sensor FoV 117 - degree, and a 2 MP f/2.2 of a depth-sensing sensor at the back while for the front side it has an 8MP of selfie camera.
Moto E6 Play
The Moto E6 Play is comparatively good when it comes to value for money factor. The Moto E6 Play comes at a very low price and more than enough good spec-sheet.
Specifications
The Moto E6 Play projects visuals on a 5.5-inch HD+ screen having an aspect ratio of 18:9 and pixel density of 255 PPI. The phone gets its power from a 3000 mAh of battery and it packs all the necessary sensors like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and fingerprint scanner for speed screen unlocks and other convenience.
It looks like Motorola is much oriented towards the MediaTek chipsets, the Moto E6 Play comes running on MediaTek MT6739 chipset boarding the combo of 2GB RAM and 32 GB inbuilt storage coupled with a quad-core processor. The storage of the phone can be expanded using a card slot and by 256 GB.
The smartphone captures images and videos using a single 13 MP of f/2.2 camera sensor at back and a 5 MP of f/2.2 camera sensor at the front.
Lastly, both the phones Moto G8 Play and Moto E6 Play run on Android 9.0 out of the box and features face unlock.
