OnePlus 7 Vs Oppo Reno 2
Oneplus and Oppo are popular Chinese smartphone brands in India. Oppo lately launched Oppo Reno 2 which is the successor of Oppo Reno 1. The Oneplus 7 (6gb) and Oppo Reno 2 belong to the same price range and hence are comparable. The Oppo Reno 2 competes well with OnePlus 7 in the Indian market and in certain areas Oppo Reno easily defeats OnePlus 7 while at some other points OnePlus 7 takes the game. So the comparison becomes inevitable.
Looks and Design
Oppo Reno 2 is much more recent than OnePlus 7 and hence contains a more refined design. In terms of looks, Oppo Reno 2 is the clear winner as unlike OnePlus 7 it has not got any kind of notch on the top of the display special gratitude to the shark fin pop up camera which adds to the elegance. Moreover, the quad-camera setup in the middle of the backside along with the gradient finish of the backside seems more alluring than OnePlus 7’s back. The size of the screen on Oppo Reno 2 is slightly greater than OnePlus 7’s that is 6.55 inch Vs 6.4 inch. Both the smartphones have some kind of display panel that is of AMOLED which manages to produce vibrant colors and great level of contrast with deeper blacks. In terms of resolution, OnePlus 7 and Oppo Reno 2 has a display resolution of 1080 x 2340 and 1080 x 2400 respectively. In terms of design and looks Oppo Reno 2 is the clear winner but in terms of display quality, OnePlus 7 is the winner as it has got the support for HDR10.

Camera
Nowadays having a better camera is essential for smartphones and both brand Oppo and OnePlus understand the same fact very well. Oppo has provided a quad-camera setup on Oppo Reno 2 comprising of 48 MP of f/1.7 primary sensor which is known as Sony IMX586, 13 MP of f/2.4 telephoto sensor, 8 MP of f/2.2 ultrawide sensor and 2 MP of f/2.4 as B/W sensor. OnePlus 7, on the other hand, comes with a mere dual camera module at the back which consists of 48 MP of f/1.7 wide-angle primary sensor which is the same Sony IMX586 and 5 MP of f/2.4 depth sensor. The OnePlus is at the upper hand in terms of recording as it supports 4K video recording at 60 fps. For the front side, both the phone has a similar camera that is 16 MP with f/2.0. Hence in terms of imagining Oppo Reno 2 is the winner.
Speed and OS
In terms of speed, OnePlus 7 is the ultimate winner as it packs a faster processor and chipset. The OnePlus 7 is profoundly powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset which easily outperforms the snapdragon 730 G chipset of Oppo Reno 2. Moreover, the Oxygen OS further adds to the speed and provides a snappy user experience. But there is an area where Oppo Reno 2 is at leverage, the Oppo Reno 2 has slightly got more RAM than OnePlus 7 but it doesn’t really affect the speed of the phone until the situation comes to tremendous multi-tasking. Hence OnePlus 7 is the better option for performance-oriented users.
Battery
Both phones have almost the same battery and give a similar kind of battery backup. The Oppo Reno 2 is powered by 4000 mAh of battery and OnePlus 7 comes with 3700 mAh of battery. Both the phones can be fast charged by a 20 W fast charger and that on Oppo is termed as VOOC Flash charge 3 while it is Warp Charge on OnePlus.
Price
The price of Oppo Reno 2 is around Rs. 37,000/- for 256 GB storage variant and That of OnePlus 7 is around Rs.38,000/- for 8 GB ram and 256 GB storage. The OnePlus 7 has a RAM variant with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage which is priced at Rs.33,000/-
