Realme, the Chinese brand which recently gained groundbreaking popularity in India by the launch of nearly half a dozen smartphones, is still holding onto few smartphones for the year 2019 and out this one is definitely the flagship ranged highly anticipated smartphone, Realme X2 and the Pro version. The Realme X2 took the majority of people’s attention before its launch and left very less for the Realme 5S which speculated to get launched along with the Realme X2 near the end of this year.

The device went for NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission) and BIS (Bureau of Indian standards) in Thailand and India respectively for certification which confirms the very near launch of the handset in Thailand and India. The BIS listing only mentioned the model number as RMX1925 along with the name as Realme 5S.

Specifications of Realme 5S

The Realme 5S, as its name suggests (considering the history of ‘S’ and ‘T’ from Apple and OnePlus) is expected to come with minor improvements over the last Realme 5 smartphone, hence it will not be a major upgrade and also there is no mentioning on the specification of the Realme 5S in the rumor mill.

The Realme 5 lying in the budget segment only lacked in display resolution and the upcoming Realme 5S is expected to suffice the need of FHD+ resolution but is expected to still stick to IPS LCD type. The Realme 5S may bring change in the specifications of the camera module and may augment the resolutions of 2 MP camera sensors and the main 12 MP camera sensor. The S version is also expected to bring more color options and there is a scope of support for 5G. The basic form and dimensions of the Realme 5S will be the same as that of the Realme 5.

Undoubtedly the Realme 5S like its predecessor will have rock bottom prices. The starting price of Realme 5S can be expected around Rs.10,000/- in India.
