After few teasers, Vivo has finally launched V17 Pro in India at an event in Delhi and the smartphone is currently available for Pre-booking. The Vivo V17 Pro is the brand’s most expensive smartphone and the iteration after Vivo V15 Pro. The phone is said to be the World’s first smartphone that comes with a dual pop up camera along with rear quad camera setup. Even the rear camera setup is claimed to be of ultimate quality as the primary camera sensor is of 48 MP.

Touchscreen unit

Super AMOLED panels are known for producing deeper blacks, vibrant colors and better contrast, and Vivo V17 Pro flaunts one such panel of 6.44 inches size with the resolution of 1080 X 2400. Such resolution and size produce pixel density of 409 PPI which demolishes doubts regarding the clarity. The display hides an optical fingerprint scanner beneath it using which the user can speedily unlock the phone.

Camera and AI

The Vivo V17 Pro is the planet’s first smartphone which packs dual pop up 32 MP of f/2.0 (wide) and 8 MP of f/2.2 (ultrawide) front-facing camera sensors aided by AI technology to capture stunning selfie images.

At the back, the Vivo V17 Pro houses a quad-camera module which has a 48 MP of Sony IMX582 of f/1.8 of primary wide-angle camera sensor having the company of 8 MP of f/2.2 ultrawide sensor, 13 MP of f/2.2 telephoto sensor with 2X optical zoom and a 2 MP of f/2.4 depth-sensing camera sensor. To handle intense graphics load the phone comes with Adreno 612 GPU and for storing vital data the phone has 128 GB of internal storage. The Vivo V17 Pro doesn’t come in any RAM or storage variant and comes with a triple-slot to accommodate 2 sim cards and a micro SD card for expanding storage.

OS and UI

Out of the box, the phone will have Android 9.0 Pie hidden under the UI and features of FunTouch OS 9.1 and is speculated to get Android Q update in the future. Moreover, the Vivo V17 Pro will be coming with an optimized game mode which increases the gaming performance and Vivo uses Multi –Turbo Acceleration Technology which messes with the bottom-most layer of OS to and forces it to deliver maximum gaming efficiency. The feature can be toggled using the Game Center.
