Specifications, Features, Review and Price.
Xiaomi recently launched the global version of one of the most anticipated smartphones called the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 which is also the first-ever smartphone from Xiaomi to bring along a rear Penta camera setup with an ultra-high primary camera resolution of 108 MP. Undoubtedly, the Xiaomi has retained the legacy of selling smartphones at cheaper rates and it goes on with this one too. The price of Xiaomi Mi Note 10 is less than the expectations, but the question is “does the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 surpass the flagship smartphones in terms of the camera?”
Design Overview of Xiaomi Mi Note 10
The overall design of the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 resembles that of the Huawei P30 Pro which might become a topic for brand criticism. The Xiaomi has tried to deliver the combination of the mid-range and flagship segment specifications in the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 as it sports the camera module which is not even seen in the high-end phones but on the other hand, it comes with the chipset and internal hardware of mid-range segment. Considering the design, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 does not bring any kind of fancy pop-up rising camera or a punch-hole display to accommodate the selfie camera but instead comes with a ‘u’ shaped notch, however still the display is curved at laterals resembling the renowned flagships OnePlus 7 Pro series or Samsung Galaxy S10 series or Galaxy Note 10 series. Hence the phone stands as an amalgamation of the flagship and mid-range segment which can also be known from the spec-sheet.
Specifications of Xiaomi Mi Note 10
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 runs on a Snapdragon 730 G chipset living on an Octa-core processor paired with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage and the pro version with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The same chipset is claimed to offer better gaming experience using the Adreno 618 GPU, than the competitors comprising the snapdragon 710 chipsets.
Cameras on the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 are the key feature of the phone, as it leads others in offering multiple cameras on a smartphone (if smartphone from Light with 16 cameras is excluded from the race) and Xiaomi Mi Note 10 sets the bar high and to 5. Not only the number of sensors but also the resolution of the primary camera sensor is jaw-dropping. The primary camera sensor is of 108 MP which is assisted by other 4 camera sensors: 12MP with f/2.0 Telephoto lens, 5 MP upscaled to 8 MP with f/2.0 Telephoto lens, 20 MP with f/2.2 ultrawide lens, and 2 MP with f/2.4 macro lens and for low lighting conditions the phone also has a quad-LED flash beside the Penta camera module. For mind-blowing selfies, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 has a 32 MP f/2.0 camera.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 flaunts a 6.47-inch notched FHD+ AMOLED display curved at sides. The display supports HDR10 and covers the entire DCI-P3 color gamut. The display can reach the maximum brightness of 600 Nits. The same display is protected by the corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 and houses an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 packs a 5620 mAh battery to suffice the need of a day and more usage and also the need o speedy charging using a 30 W fast charger. The phone gets 58% charged from 0% in just 30 minutes and to 100% in 65 minutes.
Review of Xiaomi Mi Note 10
The most fascinating and tempting thing, the Camera of the Xiaomi Note 10 defeats all the flagships and even the iPhone 11 Pro majorly. The camera of Xiaomi Mi Note 10 can be said as the best camera setup inculcated in a smartphone. Not in at the spec-sheet but also at image quality the camera takes away the game. Although the assistants of the primary 108 MP sensor sometimes may stand on the opposite side (may deteriorate image quality instead of improving) but the primary sensor handles everything from low lighting to HDR capturing all the details.
The thing that takes out the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 in competition the flagships is its chipset. Hence the phone stands out of both Flagship and mid-range. The processing capabilities are not that bad but it does not stand according to the expectations. So all in all the phone can stand as the best option for people who are more into mobile-phone photography and can be an alternative to highly-priced flagships if one can compromise with pop-up camera tech and the chipset.
