Samsung GALAXY Fold launching in India
The Korean smartphone brand, Samsung, was working on smartphones with foldable screens for more than a year and had registered a few patents under its development. The end result of the research and development will soon be seen on the shelves of smartphone stores in India. Samsung has named this smartphone as GALAXY Fold. The phone is already available in the USA.
The Korean smartphone brand first revealed GALAXY Fold in the first quarter of the year 2019 and soon before the official launch the reviewers which were provided with the testing models who came up with display malfunctioning issues and many of them reported complete display failure. The cause of the issues was believed to be the peeling of a top-most layer of the screen which seemed like a screen protector to some reviewers but later Samsung accepted the design flaws and re-designed the phone to solve the reported issues.

Design and Displays
The most interesting feature of GALAXY Fold is obviously its foldable Dynamic AMOLED screen accompanied by a smaller display which can be seen at front in folded condition, so the GALAXY Fold comes with two touchscreens, one primary foldable screen of size 7.3 inch with resolution of 1536 x 2152 and another secondary touchscreen of size 4.6 inch having resolution of 840 x 1960. The primary display can be used to run multiple apps at a time which can increase productivity.
Camera
For optics, GALAXY Fold has a triple camera setup at the back which consists of a primary 12 MP camera sensor of variable aperture f/1.5-f/2.4 and wide-angle lens, a 12 MP of camera sensor of f/2.4 as a telephoto sensor and 16 MP of f/2.2 ultrawide lens. For better selfies, GALAXY Fold sports a dual selfie camera setup which contains a 10 MP f/2.2 of wide-angle senor and 8 MP f/1.9 wide-angle depth sensing sensor.
Chipset
The GALAXY Fold runs on the Snapdragon 855 SoC housing octa-core processor coupled with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of inbuilt storage. The storage of GALAXY Fold cannot be expanded as it does not have any SD card slot.
Battery
To power, such a powerful chipset and two displays the GALAXY Fold has two 4380 mAh of battery which can be fast-charged using 15 W fast chargers via USB type C port or wirelessly.
Price and Release Date
The GALAXY Fold is confirmed to get released in India on 1st October 2019 and will be an expensive phone as it comes with two displays. The expected price of GALAXY Fold is Rs.1,40,000/- in India.
