Hero Maestro edge 125
Hero Maestro Edge 125 was first unveiled at Auto Expo 2018 which got later launched in 2019 and it is said to be India’s first scooter with a programmed Fuel injection system. The Hero Maestro Edge 125 is Hero’s current flagship scooter that is considered to be superior to the Destini 125. Hero has not only upgraded engine from 110 CC to 125 CC but has also brought changes in terms of looks and features.
Design and Appearance
The new Hero Maestro Edge 125 is made sportier and attractive than the previous model, the headlight now comes enlarged and it now comes in more color options. The scooter is now overall sleeker and looks sharper than curvier. The scooter is available in 3 variants: Fi, Carb (Disc) and Carb (Drum). The scooter comes with a textured seat and a signature LED lamp at the front.
Specifications
The Hero Maestro Edge 125 has the same engine as that of Destini but produces more power. The Hero Maestro Edge has a 124.6 CC single-cylinder air-cooled OHC engine. The fuel-injected version produces a maximum power of 9.24 PS at 7000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.2 Nm at 5000 rpm. The FI variant of the Hero Maestro Edge is more fuel-efficient and it complies with BS6 norms. The transmission system is of V-Matic that comprises a dry centrifugal clutch.
The carbureted version produces the maximum power of 8.7 bhp and the same peak torque of 10.2 Nm. The Fuel-injected version does not come with the i3S technology while the carbureted version is equipped with it.
The scooter has a telescopic fork suspension system at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The scooter can be brought to halt using a disc brake at the front and drum brakes at the rear in the disc brake variant or using drum brakes present at both ends on the drum brake variant.
