KTM RC125
With the great success of Ktm Duke 125, KTM wished to implement the same strategy with the RC line-up and lately launched the KTM RC125 in India. The KTM RC125 is available in India at an average Ex-showroom price of Rs.1,47,917/- and the bike is till now serving great in scrolling the sales number higher. The base as the race is kept intact in the KTM RC125 and the performance of the bike reflects the same. Although the KTM RC125 is the lowest end-bike from its family but yet offers appreciable performance and brand's unique styling features.
KTM RC125: specifications
Engine: The KTM RC125 as the name suggest comes with a 124.7 CC liquid cool engine with the fuel-injection system. The engine produces a max power of 14.3 bhp @9250 rpm and peak torque of 12 Nm @8000 rpm. The engine has 2 valves in all and obviously has an electric starter.
Body: The KTM RC125 brings in the trellis frame and outer-shape resembling that of the other RC bikes. The kerb weight of the bike is 135 kg and at the front the bike has an inverted fork-type suspension system and mono-shock at the back.
Transmission: The engine of the KTM RC125 is coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission system having a wet multi-disc clutch that can be actuated mechanically.
Brakes: The bike comes with a disc brake of 300 mm at the front and a 230 mm at the back.
Looks
Look wise, the KTM RC125 is similar to other RC bikes from KTM, for instance, KTM RC200. The most evident thing about the bike is its non-orange black frame, which is unique and does not go in hand with the international version of the same bike. The Bike although priced cheap yet brings many features and parts from the elder sibling RC200 like trellis frame, switchgear, Clips on handle-bar, mirrors and MRF tyres. The KTM RC125 brings in the crisply-styled LED DRLs and twin projectors at the front. The attractiveness and bold looks of the KTM RC125 emerge from its dual-tone color and racing stance which incorporates a split-seat setup.
Review
Ride: The KTM RC125 performance is appreciable but not comparable to its family members. As it as 125 CC bike it produces a comparatively low 14 bhp which is evident during the ride. The bike struggles in reaching its top-speed but its 6-speed gearbox and responsive throttle helps in performance.
Overall: The bikes overall offer great performance considering its low CC engine along with great sporty looks but these do not justify its price-tag. The bike is priced very high for its range.

The average Ex-showroom Price of KTM RC 125 in India is Rs.1,48,000/- which is quite high for a 125 CC bike even if its racing underpinning is considered.
