TVS Ntorq 125 (Race Edition)
TVS is well recognized by the people for manufacturing remarkable mopeds and bikes in India. Last year in the month of February TVS launched a moped named TVS Ntorq 125 in the Indian automobile market. The moped was launched to compete with Honda Grazia, Suzuki Access 125 and Aprilia Sr 125. The ride arrived with lots of smart and exciting features.
TVS has recently added a variant to Tvs Ntorq 125, the variant is Race Edition which comes with sportier looks. The race edition comes with new graphics and brings some practical updates over the last TVS Ntorq 125.
What comes with the new Race Edition?
- The race edition brings new aesthetics that are dedicated to race and are inclined towards sports.
- The race edition has got signature LED headlamps, LED DRLs and Hazard lamp which can be triggered by red-colored hazard switch.
- The checkered flag race graphics add to the sportier appearance.
- The moped now comes in a combination with three colors matte black, metallic black and metallic red color.
- The race edition gives a special User interface for digital console inspired by racing.
Power and Engine
At the heart, the race edition of TVS Ntorq 125 remains as it is (like that of TVS Ntorq 125 standard). It is powered by the same SOHC 124.79 CC single-cylinder air-cooled engine containing 3 valves that are two for intake and one for exhaust. The engine delivers the power of 9.4 PS at 7500 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm.
Performance-wise the TVS Ntorq 125 can reach from 0 to 60 Kmph in less than 10 seconds.
- The new race edition of TVS Ntorq 125 does not conform to BS6 norms.
Features
The Race edition comes with all the smart features which standard variants had. It comes with the facility of Bluetooth connectivity using the SmartXonnect feature from TVS.
The TVS Ntorq 125 was the first scooter to provide connectivity using Bluetooth which opened the gate for app assistance via smartphone. The digital instrument assists the rider in navigation, recording the top speed, measuring lap time with a timer and even reminds the rider for timely services.

Price and Availability
The pre-bookings of TVS Ntorq 125 race edition has already started and is available for an ex-showroom price of Rs. 62,995/- which is approximately 500 more than the Tvs Jupiter and Rs.3000 over standard TVS Ntorq 125. The race edition is likely to sell more in the festive season and the launch of Race edition seems to be with the intention of getting rid of old stocked BS4 engines by TVS.
