Hyundai Aura – to take the place of two famous cars in 2020.
Hyundai has announced the launch date of upcoming Hyundai Aura as 19th December 2019 and falling into the sub-4-meter sedan category, the automobile will be as a replacement of Hyundai Xcent. The engine specifications and some other details are already out but the car is yet to be sighted as some leaked images and an image showing the majorly covered body can only help in getting the idea of the shape and size along with some minor glimpses.
Engine specifications of Hyundai Aura
An image showcasing the engine variants of Hyundai Aura can be easily found over the internet. The image suggests that it will not only bring BS6 compilation in petrol variants but also in diesel engines.
The Hyundai Aura will have petrol engines from the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios that is 1.2 L Kappa Dual VTVT, hence the power and torque production figures will be same – 83 PS and 113 Nm. The higher petrol variants will have a 1.0 L turbo GDi petrol engines mated with 5-speed transmission system which was unexpected as it was supposed to include 6-speed manual gearbox from Hyundai Venue.
To propel the diesel variants the Hyundai Aura will have 1.2 L U2 CRDi diesel engines.
Both petrol and diesel variants will be BS6 compliant and will have an option of AMT transmission system.
Looks: Hyundai Aura
The Hyundai Aura is said to be based on Grand i10 Nios hence the anterior part of the car will resemble the Grand i10 Nios which is evident from the leaked images. The car will have the same boomerang-shaped LED DRLs at the lateral ends of the front cascading grille, new bumper, and projector headlamps. The rear end will be short but will justify the criteria for the car to be a sedan.
Hyundai Aura: Features
The features set will include safety features like multiple airbags, ABS, traction control and likes. The car is likely to come with a large touchscreen infotainment system supporting both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moreover, Hyundai is definitely going to include the Blue Link connectivity in the car as well.
Rivalry: Maruti is about to discontinue the Dzire diesel in April 2020, so the upcoming Hyundai Aura will enjoy the interest of Maruti fans too. The Aura will also stand as an alternative to its cousin Hyundai Xcent and will give fierce competition to Honda Amaze and other compact sedans.
Price of Hyundai Aura
The Hyundai Aura is expected to be costlier than the Hyundai Xcent. The starting Ex-showroom Price of the Hyundai Aura petrol is expected to be Rs.6.1 lakhs and the top-end variants of diesel and petrol are anticipated to cross the mark of Rs.8.5 lakhs.
