Jeep Compass was launched in India in 2017 and it stood somewhere between Jumbo SUVs and Compact SUVs. In fact, at that time Jeep Compass was speculated to be the new ruler of Mid-sized SUV segment but thereafter till today Jeep has faced fierce competition from many new arrivals. The most recent rivals of Jeep Compass are Kia Seltos and MG Hector which literally snatched away remarkable sales figures from the Jeep making Jeep. The Jeep Compass itself comes in six variants namely: Sport, Sport Plus, Longitude, Limited, Limited Plus, and Trail hawk. Some of these variants can only be had in either petrol or diesel and with either manual transmission system or Automatic transmission system.

Petrol variants of Jeep Compass come with a 1.4 L 4-cylinder petrol engine mated with a 6-speed manual transmission system in sports and sports plus model, while other petrol variants like longitude, limited, and limited Plus comes with a 7-speed Automatic transmission system. The petrol engine on Jeep Compass produces the maximum power of 160 bhp@3750 rpm and a peak torque of 250 Nm @1750-2500 rpm. The petrol variants do not come with the option of AWD. The petrol variants offers a mileage of 17 kmpl.
All diesel variants on Jeep Compass comes with a 6-speed manual transmission system except the TrailHawk as it brings with itself a 9-speed Automatic transmission system. The diesel engines on Jeep Compass produces a maximum power of 171 bhp @3750 rpm and deliver a peak torque of 350 Nm at 1750 rpm. The Trail Hawk variant offers AWD option and rests other just comes with the two-wheel drive train. Moreover, the Trail Hawk comes with a BS6 compliant diesel engine. The diesel variants offers a mileage of 14 kmpl.
