Toyota Glanza G MT – launched in India
Toyota adds a cheaper variant in Glanza line-up – G MT.
Toyota launched Glanza line up in June 2019 and recently, the automotive giant elongated to the G – line up of the Glanza by launching the Toyota Glanza G with the manual transmission system. The new variant of Glanza is milder than the hybrid version which was launched first and at the same time the new variant Glanza G MT has become the entry-level car of the Glanza series at present. The price of Toyota Glanza G MT is Rs.24000/- less than its previous hybrid version.
Price
The average Ex-Showroom price of previous entry-level Glanza was Rs.7,21,000/- which is dropped to Rs.6,97,000/- by the new arrival. With more affordable pricing the new variant of Glanza will fiercely compete with renowned hatchbacks of India like Baleno, Swift, i20, i10, Polo, and likes
Looks
Looks-wise there is no change in the new variant of Glanza and like its previously launched variant, it resembles the well known Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
The engine of Toyota Glanza G MT
The new variant of the Toyota Glanza comes with the 1.2 L VVT petrol engine unlike the elder and costlier sibling but with the manual transmission system. The elder sibling of the Glanza has a 1.2 L dual jet petrol engine. The manual transmission system comes with a 5-speed gearbox and the engine produces power of 82 bhp at 6000 rpm and a torque of 113 Nm at 4200 rpm. The engine of the Glanza G MT conforms to BS-IV norms like its sibling.
Features
The new entry-level variant packs all the features that the mild-hybrid version has and hence it is made affordable only by altering the transmission system and that too by Rs.24,000/-.
The new variant comes with aesthetic features like LED headlights, taillights with the combination of LED, Chrome grille, Diamond Cut alloy wheels and all that which can be seen on the previous variant.
Other features inside include a large touchscreen infotainment system, voice interaction feature, steering wheel-mounted controls and more.
