Smartphone brands in the lieu of acquiring greater portion of the market are speeding up their launch cycles, few famous brands are launching their next iterations in a very short span of time. OnePlus is also following this strategy, OnePlus have been and will be launching next generations too soon (within 6 months). OnePlus 8 and Oneplus 8 Pro will be the successors of OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro which are the recent releases from the great Chinese brand. Not even a month has passed and leaks along with renders of OnePlus 8 and the Pro are prevailing at a faster pace over the internet.
OnePlus 8 – gets better design
The renders of the OnePlus 8 reveals that this time the non-Pro version will too have curved displays like the Pro versions. The design of the OnePlus 8 will look like an amalgamation of OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro, though with a punch-hole camera instead of a notch. The tipster who tipped that the iPhone 11 Pro will have square camera bump which later turned out to be true, has tipped that the OnePlus 8 and Pro will have the punch-hole camera.
Here, the debate mill starts, many tech enthusiasts anticipate the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro with the punch-hole camera instead of the great Pop-up rising camera and on the other hand few claims that the tip may not turn out true this time. Many unofficial renders of the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro are created with the base of the tip and are widespread over the internet.
The inculcation of a punch-hole camera by OnePlus 8 is acceptable but the same sounds a little bit suspicious in the case of OnePlus 8 Pro. The first and the foremost question arises is that “why would a brand adopt inferior feature and that too at the cost of replacing fully developed and flourishing camera tech which is presently available on the recent flagships? The tip only seems to be true for the non-pro version and not for the pro version.

Obviously, the next series of OnePlus smartphones will come with a new chipset, for instance, Snapdragon 865 or maybe better version if possible. The camera will remain intact in terms of quantity but may vary at the clarity that is at Megapixels and aperture. Although, Few leaks suggest the addition of 3D ToF camera at the rear.
The size of the OnePlus 8 will be negligibly smaller and will come with a 6.5” screen size. The OnePlus 8 will have faster UFS 3.0 storage and will come up with variants having more RAM and storage in comparison to variants of OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro. The OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to have a 512 GB storage version, unlike its predecessor. The OnePlus is also expected to step-up in the area of the display and bring 120 Hz refresh rate at consumers palm just like ASUS but with Quad HD+ resolution. At the optics front, the development work is handed over to Sony which is likely to bring camera sensors with ultra-high resolutions and hybrid zooming capabilities up to 10X and up to 5X optically. For batteries and charging OnePlus may come with a faster charger and charging speeds. The price of the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro may get hiked up to Rs.60,000/- depending upon the spec-sheet of the phone in India and elsewhere.
