Samsung Galaxy A30s and A50s with Super Steady Video and 48MP Camera with Night Mode
Samsung silently launched the Galaxy A30s and A50s which are the successors of Galaxy A30 and A50 respectively. These new A-series phones were announced on an event in New Delhi. These new phones have some improvements over the lasts and some extra features too.
Camera
The new Galaxy A30s and A50s are equipped with a triple camera module that has a depth-sensing sensor, the main sensor, and an ultrawide sensor. The up-gradation in main camera sensor is remarkable; the A30s has 25 MP main camera sensor while A30 just had 16 MP main sensor. That of A50s is 48 MP which is the jump from 25 MP of A50.

The A50s now support 4K video recording at 30 fps. However, the change in front camera is only found in A50s which is 32 MP f/2.0 is a remarkable leap from 25 MP f/2.0 of A50.
Display
Both A50s and A30s have got super AMOLED screens like that of the previous generation but the A30s have a lower resolution of HD+ than FHD+ of A30. This move could be in response to the sustenance of battery and lower heat production. The A50s have the same display as that of A50. Both new phones have a 6.4” super AMOLED screen. The notch on A30s is V-shaped and that in A50s is U shaped.
Finger Print Scanner
Another change is found in the A30s fingerprint scanner, A30s has got an under-display optical fingerprint scanner, unlike A30 on which fingerprint scanner was rear-mounted.
Storage and RAM
The A30s is available in following combinations of storage and RAM
- 32 GB, 3 GB
- 64 GB, 4GB
- 128 GB, 4GB
The A50s are available in variants like
- 64 GB, 4GB
- 128 GB, 6GB
Chipset
The new A30s have got a new chipset – Exynos 7885 (14nm) with Mali G-72 GPU, while the chipset and processor of A50s are the same as that of A50 [Exynos 9610 (10nm)].
Battery
Both new phones have 4000 mAh of battery which will provide a good amount of battery backup which can be charged with 15W fast charger.
Colors
The A30s and A50s are available in three colors
- Prism Crush Black
- Prism Crush White
- Prism Crush Violet
OS and UI
The new A-series phones will come with android 9.0 based One UI which will add to the aesthetics of the devices.
Price
The price of Samsung Galaxy A30s Rs. 23000/- for 4GB and 128GB and the price of A50s is Rs. 25000/- for 6GB and 128GB. These phones are now available online on Flipkart and Amazon.
