Asus Zenbook Duo series will arrive in India as dual-screen laptops.
Asus is well renowned for manufacturing high-quality computer hardware in the global market as well as the Indian market. The electronic giant had launched many laptops in India and most of them were successful. The ASUS is also popular for making gaming dedicated hardware under the name of ROG (Republic Of Gamers).
Asus is already selling its new concept that is a laptop with two screens outside India and in the near future, it is about to launch such laptops in India. Asus already announced the Laptops with dual-screen under Asus Zenbook Duo series named as Asus Zenbook Pro Duo and Asus Zenbook Duo. Asus didn’t reveal the final launch date but it is expected soon.
For Multi-taskers
Asus Zenbook Pro Duo and Asus Zenbook Duo are the laptops which would come with dual-screen are targeted to creators, gamers, or anyone who needs more screen for running multiple software at a time. The last year’s Zenbook was powerful but was having a very small screen which was the drawback for multi-taskers, so to solve the issue Asus launched laptops with dual-screen which will be helpful in increasing productivity too. These laptops will have a normal screen and a relatively small screen over the keypad of the laptop.
Zenbook Pro Duo
The upcoming Zenbook Pro Duo will be a high-end laptop that will pack a 15.6 inches 4k OLED main display. Below the main screen and over the keyboard there will another 4K touchscreen having a 14-inch width and will be called screen iPad plus. Along with this, the Zenbook will come with a stylus that can be used to operate a secondary screen and can also be used for writing. The Laptop will be a laptop and will have a touchpad to operate things displayed on the main screen as is does not have any kind of integrated touch panel.
Coming towards the hardware, the Asus Zenbook Pro Duo will be powered by 9th generation Intel Core processors paired with 32 GB of RAM and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. At the storage front, the laptop will have 1TB of PCIe 3.0 x 4 SSD. The laptop will come with a thunderbolt 3 type C USB port. The laptop will also have a dedicated turbofan for cooling purposes.
Zenbook Duo
The Zenbook Duo will be the non-Pro version which will also be a two screened laptop. This will be slightly smaller in terms of size and specifications. The Zenbook Duo will have a 14-inch main screen size with FHD resolution instead of 4K resolution and the secondary display will have a width of 12.6 inches with 4K resolution and aspect ratio of 32:9. The secondary display will come with multiple quick controls like App switcher, App navigator, and ViewMax. The laptop will weigh around 1.5 Kg and will come with Windows 10.
The internal hardware of the Asus Zenbook Duo will consist of Intel Core i7 9th generation processors and GeForce MX250 GPU.
Price and release in India
The laptops are not expected to be cheap as they offer two displays along with high-end specifications. The starting price of Zenbook Duo is expected to be around Rs.1 lakh and that of Pro versions will be around Rs.1.8 lakhs. The final launch date of Zenbook Duo laptops is not announced by Asus but it is known for sure that the launch will be held near the end of September 2019 or at the beginning of October 2019.
