How to become a franchise partner of GAP?
Gap Inc. is a leading international specialty retailer offering clothing, accessories and personal care products for men, women, children and babies under the Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta, and Intermix brand names. Since 2006, they have expanded their international presence through franchise and wholesale arrangements throughout Asia, Australia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. Today, they have franchised businesses in over 40 countries with their principal business teams located in San Francisco, New York and London. They do not franchise in the US, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom or any of the other countries where they operate company-owned stores.
Generally, to be considered as a potential franchisee for Gap, Banana Republic and/or Old Navy brands, they would expect that any franchise applicant have significant business experience in the apparel retail sector, including, by way of example only, franchise business development, retail operations, merchandising, real estate, store operations and brand management.

Doris and Don Fisher opened the first Gap store in 1969 with a simple idea — to make it easier to find a pair of jeans and a commitment to do more. Over the last 46 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with five brands — Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta and Intermix. Gap's clothes are available in 90 countries worldwide through 3,300 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing.
In a global first, Gap India lit up the entire mall's facade in a blanket of blue light a few days before the store opened to customers. This started with Gap's launch in India in 2015 and was subsequently replicated during Gap's stores opening in other metropolis like Bengaluru and Mumbai.
Gap has eleven stores across the six Indian cities of New Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Indore and Pune.

Respected Management, I am Suhail Ali Khan worked in UAE almost 20 years. Me and my family only wore GAP products in last 20 years. Now I am in India and willing to open a showroom of GAP design clothing. I live in Aligarh City known for international University AMU. I found there is no GAP showroom here in Aligarh despite huge demand of branded clothing. I have owned a big shop of 800 sq ft in a Mall that about to compete in 8 months time. I belive this us the right time to start communicating with your management to discuss financial and operational model. I worked 12 years with Dubai government and 5 years with Abudhabi government as head of planning , design ing, operations, procurement, information technology, marketing and media and maintenance of all public transport of the UAE.
