JK Paper Limited is one of the largest paper manufacturers in India with presence in all major segments like Office Papers, High End Packaging Boards, Coated Papers, High Bright Maplitho and Stationery Products. In their endeavour to become a one stop shop to meet all your paper needs they have tied up with reputed overseas Mills to provide consistent quality and regular supplies of Coated Art Paper (C2S) range. The current GSM range they are offering is 80, 90, 100, 115, 120, 125, 130 and 150 GSM.

JK Paper Ltd. has two large integrated paper manufacturing units – JK Paper Mills, Rayagada, Odisha and Central Pulp Mills, Songadh, Gujarat with a combined capacity of 4,55,000 TPA.  It is the market leader in Branded Copier paper segment and among the top two players in Coated Paper and high-end Packaging Boards. Its products are sold through extensive distribution network of 188 wholesalers, 10 depots & 4 regional marketing offices, and covering nearly 4,000 dealers. It offers a wide product range and its brands are synonymous with premium quality paper. Their product portfolio includes OFFICE PAPERS, PACKAGING BOARDS, PRINTING & WRITING PAPERS AND SPEACIALITY PAPERS. They are a Leading exporter of Branded Copier Papers from India with exports to 35 countries.

JK Paper has recently invested substantially (about Rs 1775 crore) in expanding and modernising their capacity at JK Paper Mills Rayagada. It involved state-of-the-art machines with 1,65,000 TPA of paper capacity and a pulp mill with 2,15,000 TPA. This has significantly reduce water and energy usage.

As part of a larger commitment & respect for environment, the Company has sustained its efforts for increasing the green cover within 200 Km area from the plant sites at Jaykaypur, Distt. Rayagada (Odisha) and Fort Songadh (Gujarat). It has planted close 17,000 Ha in 2014-15 under this programme. Most of these are planted with Eucalyptus, Casurina and Subabul clones as per requirement. The planted area was 14% higher than previous year thus taking the total coverage under the programme to 1.33 Lakh Ha.

Manufacturing Facilities

JK Paper Mills

JKPM was commissioned in 1962 with an integrated pulp and paper plant with 18000 TPA installed capacity.

Over the years, production capacity been enhanced with the addition of 4 more paper machines.

It manufactures a diversified product range from 58 GSM to 300 GSM of different grades of paper & boards.

As they expanded their capacity over the years, they have been able to bring in modern technology as well.  Technology has been upgraded both in pulping and paper manufacturing. Modern technology has helped them to achieve “scale economies” as also led to “resource conservation” especially in energy (power consumption) and water usage per unit output.

Their new paper machine PM VI uses state of art technology in all the areas, such as Fiber line, Paper machine, Power block, A4 converting and packaging line etc.

Central Pulp Mills

- Established in 1966 and taken over by the Group in 1992-93 and rehabilitated within a couple of years.

- It is an integrated pulp and paper plant producing writing and printing paper and virgin packaging board.

Total Capacity

With the recent expansion, their present total capacity is 4,55,000 tonnes per annum.

JK Paper and Environment

Their thrust on environment is visible in various eco-friendly processes at their plant sites for production of pulp and paper.  This is done by adopting modern technology and process innovations.

The farm forestry development program, started in 1991, has created employment and livelihood opportunities for significant number of people even as the company sources its raw material requirement from the farm forestry on low-productive land.
