Safe Roads- The Philosophy and the Practice

The vision of accident-free driving is one of the core beliefs of the Mercedes-Benz family. To spread the word and sensitize people about the same, Mercedes-Benz India, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles and Mercedes-Benz Research & Development India have come together to institute the Safe Roads initiative.

Their definition of success is achieved when each drive you have is as safe as it is memorable, and they have constantly strived towards that ideal. It is this perseverance that inspired them to create the world’s first Passenger Safety Body in 1959, usher in the revolutionary Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) in 1978 and finally, prevent collisions altogether with the next generation PRESAFE technology in 2006.
