Exhilarating Experience
At the time of purchase before 31.05.16, I was given a complete break up of price and it was valid if i could make 100% payment before 31st May 16 in order to avoid extra tax leviable from 1st June 2016. The understanding reached between me and BD Automobiles will be invoiced as on 31.05.16 but as me being abroad will take the delivery of vehicle on 6th July 2016 provided I send them singed copy of Form 20 at least 7 days in advance. Accordingly I get manage to get those essential things including making 100% payment to BD automobiles partially through bank loan and partially self finance before 31st May 2016. This scheme was under old car exchnage. As per the rule they asked me to handover my old running vehicle before 31st May 2016. Surprisingly today morning I got a call from a sale representative of BD automobiles letting me know that now as the registration is being done in July, I need to pay tax due to the value of car more than 10 lacs, as if the value of car was less than 10 lacs before 31st May 2016. They are saying you pay the tax and get refund through filing return. I fail to understand if the rule is tax deduction at source considering the date of registration, then under what rule I will get back this refund? This tax information was completely kept dark before me by the sales representative just to increase their sales boom. This is unethical and putting the customer into awkward situation like me due to no fault of customers. Now I wanted my old car back together with money paid to them as I lost faith completely on the dealing of B.D.Automobiles .
