Feedback on service

This is a warning to all those who intend to avail services from the Currents store in South City Mall, Kolkata. When I first received my iPhone 4S, once i got my microsim from the South City Vodafone store, i was instructed to go to Currents to get the handset unlocked. The guys there did the unlocking & the amount they charged me for that service was ONLY Rs. 900. I was then new to the world of Apple & since the handset was a gift i was under the impression that Apple services must be that expensive. The sales guy then convinced me to get a ScreenProtect & advised me to get a Hard Case Cove for the phone. They charged me Rs. 399 for the screeprotect & the Kruseel Hard Case cover cost me ONLY Rs. 1799. They took full advantage of my ignorance & took me for a ride. I am to be blamed too for stepping into their shop without doing my homework. Later when i shared my experience with my friends, they laughed at me saying that had i got it done from any local shop, the entire exercise along with screenprotect & hard case cover would have cost me around Rs. 500 at the most. Best part is - the hard cover broke into pieces most probably after the 5th time the mobile phone slipped from my hand. Now i use another hardcase which is made of exactly the same material that the Krusel one was made of & i purchased it from a local shop for Rs. 100. So, be WARNED - these guys are doing ORGANISED THEFT in the name of doing business. If Apple is encouraging such practice by its franchisees, it speaks volumes about their business ethics.
