PLEASE READ IT FULLY! FRAUD AGENCY! Bought LG AC. AC was faulty, it was leaking gas. Don't know if it was defective out of the box, or if the engineer cross-threaded the bolt as he was not using the torque wrench, but a simple spanner and was on a call with someone while doing the work (probably this is the reason). It could have been a simple replacement from Amazon, they took the ODU (outdoor unit) to repair and now it is not effectively cooling as they removed it, they did some repairs, replaced some valves, removed the gas, refilled, showed me some pressure meter for a microsecond, and said it is the correct value, god knows what. They said small repair and takes half an hour but took like 3 hours. You can see some fin damage in the outdoor unit. Felt cheated by the installation company SAAKSHI ENTERPRISE, Chennai. BEWARE! Do not get the installation done by this company at any cost, they asked me to buy white cement and by the time I returned, they drilled holes and installed the indoor unit in the wrong place, then had to remove and reinstall it leaving additional drill holes in the wall, took almost a whole day for installing, repair work, checking. If amazon assigns this agency, call them to get the agency replaced or call LG directly and assign another agency as you'll anyway have to pay the fees directly to the installation person. Feels like second-hand AC! The engineer is constantly pestering me for Happy Code while I'm not happy with the AC, and when I spoke to the Agency head, He was haughtily replying that if I do not give them the happy code they'll cancel the order from their side like the customer cancelled installation, since they already got their money from me. Rs. 2670! LG was of zero help. Their LG PCO Mr. GNANAMUTHU is even worse, blaming me, talks with a condescending tone, putting me on hold for 5 min & disconnecting the call while I was talking, He was like I permitted everything and now he can't help and supports the agency (Probably being bribed by the agencies I guess). LG Customer care is of zero help! The best thing is not to buy LG, there are far better AC brands like Carrier and so, Got one Carrier 1.5-ton inverter ac in the other room a few years back, but haven't serviced it for over a year, and haven't cleaned the filter for over 6 months but still cools the 140+ sq. ft room in under 20 minutes. While this 1 ton cannot cool the 90 sq. ft room even after 1 hour. ACs with a similar price point now have Wi-Fi built-in, multiple micron filters, an ionizer, a UV lamp, google and Alexa support. This remote has no backlit, no illuminated button, so completely useless in the dark, overcomplicated, and every time you change the convertible mode, the fan will auto reset, and every time you change the AC mode both the swings will change to auto swing, it is super annoying, the fins do not face down, even the lowest point in the swing is still far up, the throw of the fan is very moderate at high speed, and only HC mode/VIRAAT mode will run the fan at faster speed with long throw, it will chill faster and this is the mode they will show you in the demo and tell you not to use it regularly as it not power efficient as well as damaging to AC on the long run as it runs on the highest possible capacity, Even in VIRAAT mode it took more than 40 mins to cool the room. BEWARE! If you are still convinced you want LG, and if there's even a small issue with the AC, ask the installation people to stop installing, ask them to write up a complaint form with their agency letterhead with the issue, do not let them repair even its a faulty screw, do not repair even if the representative assures you as they did in my case, apply replacement from amazon and ask the agency to pack the AC back in the box. Do not pay installation fees as they will compensation from LG for a faulty unit which I happened to know just now. Get the replacement and get it installed. THERE'S A FINE MARGIN, if you let them repair it, it becomes your fault wholly, they probably have this system to cheat customers I guess, now I'm stuck with this second-hand AC! Even if you are able to get a replacement after all this, you'll have to pay the installation charges the second time which is Rs. 2670.
